DAVID ANDERSON, MARTHA ANDERSON, AND TIMOTHY FLYNN HAVE NOT ENGAGED IN EMOTIONAL ABUSE OF JEWELL ANDERSON:

A.   David Anderson Advised Jewell Anderson Regarding Business Matters and Created Jewell Anderson’s Adequate Retirement Nest.

Jewell Anderson has never been exposed to any emotional abuse by either David Anderson, Martha Anderson, or Timothy Flynn.  When Diane Anderson abandoned her mother and father for over twenty-five (25) years while living her hedonistic lifestyle in Australia, it was David and Martha Anderson who assisted Kenneth and Jewell Anderson with their various problems or needs.  After Kenneth Anderson’s death in December of 1986, David Anderson became the sole financial, business, and legal advisor for Jewell Anderson.  Under David Anderson’s astute estate planning, Jewell Anderson amassed a modest, but comfortable, retirement account, which Jewell Anderson started to live off of in 1988 when she retired from the Southfield Public School System.  It was not until Diane Anderson returned from Australia in the fall of 2003 that Jewell Anderson’s retirement assets became compromised.

B.   David Anderson Encourages Contact by Jewell Anderson with Her Friends.

Jewell Anderson has repeatedly indicated, both in writing and verbally, that David Anderson and Martha Anderson were the foundation of her life during the twenty-five (25) year period Diane Anderson abandoned she and her husband.  At no point in time have David Anderson, Martha Anderson, Bruce Anderson, or Arliene Anderson ever engaged in any verbal abuse or verbal altercations with Jewell Anderson.  Furthermore, David Anderson and Martha Anderson have never isolated Jewell Anderson from her friends.  After Jewell Anderson retired from the Southfield Public School System in 1988, she became somewhat reclusive.  Jewell Anderson is not a social person, and does not enjoy being in group settings if she is not required to do so.  As time passed, Jewell Anderson began seeing less and less of her former school teacher associates.  The only time Jewell Anderson would see her former school teacher associates is when she would participate in her book club, which David Anderson and Martha Anderson always encouraged her to do.  At no point in time have David Anderson or Martha Anderson ever stopped Jewell Anderson from visiting any of her friends.  Unfortunately, Jewell Anderson’s friends are in their mid-80’s, and are also experiencing significant health problems of their own.  As such, none of these individuals have gotten out very often over the past five (5) years to see one another.  This situation has nothing to do with any activities of David Anderson or Martha Anderson.

C.   David Anderson has Never Interfered with Visitation Between Jewell Anderson and Diane Anderson.

David Anderson and Martha Anderson have never caused any isolation between Diane Anderson and Jewell Anderson.  When Jewell Anderson was placed with Bruce and Arliene Anderson for a period of time in Vestaburg, Michigan, this was the direct result of Diane Anderson inappropriately hiding Jewell Anderson for a week, and not letting Jewell Anderson’s family members, doctors, or guardian/conservator know of her whereabouts.  When Jewell Anderson was living in Vestaburg, Michigan, Judge Grant required Diane Anderson to provide notice in advance to Bruce and Arliene Anderson of any visits she wished to make to the Vestaburg area.  Diane Anderson, in keeping with her violation of all the Court Orders involved in Jewell Anderson’s conservator/guardianship matters, violated the Judge’s Visitation Order by coming, unannounced, to Bruce and Arliene Anderson’s home, and then making a scene when she was there, necessitating the police to come and bring order out of the chaos.

D.   Diane Anderson Committed Home Invasion of Bruce Anderson’s Residence.

Diane Anderson’s wrongful behavior as it relates to visiting Jewell Anderson in Vestaburg, Michigan escalated to the point where she committed a home invasion of Bruce and Arliene Anderson’s house, and broke into same while Bruce and Arliene Anderson and Jewell Anderson were out running errands.  But for Bruce Anderson being a quality human being and understanding his sister’s mental health issues, Diane Anderson would probably be serving a prison sentence at this time due to her having committed home invasion.

E.   American House Facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan Meets all Jewell Anderson’s Needs.

Diane Anderson cannot accept the fact the doctors who have examined Jewell Anderson’s dementia condition and Alzheimer’s problem, believe Jewell Anderson is best suited being at the American House assisted living facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan.  Jewell Anderson gets all the appropriate care and treatment she needs at this facility.  Furthermore, the American House facility provides a neutral ground for all the family members to visit Jewell Anderson, without having the fights which Diane Anderson loved to instigate when family members would visit Jewell Anderson at the Lathrup Village home.  Since being at the American House facility, Jewell Anderson’s physical health and psychological health have improved immeasurably.

In late 2008 and early 2009, Diane Anderson again raised multiple false claims that the American House facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan was not a proper residence for Jewell Anderson.  Numerous state and county agencies reviewed Diane Anderson’s complaints against the American House of Rochester Hills.  After careful examination of her complaints against the American House of Rochester Hills, the regulatory authorities rejected Diane Anderson’s specious claims and have given the American House facility high marks for taking care of its senior citizen residents in a caring, compassionate, and effective manner.  It is ironic Diane Anderson finds the American House facilities in Southfield and West Bloomfield, Michigan to be excellent senior care facilities, but not the comparable facility in Rochester Hills, which is run by the same management personnel.  Clearly, Diane Anderson’s agenda of wanting to thwart Jewell Anderson’s desire to live her remaining days peacefully and comfortably at the beautiful American House facility in Rochester Hills has compromised her ability to fairly and impartially evaluate this outstanding senior citizen caregiving facility.
