DAVID ANDERSON, MARTHA ANDERSON, AND TIMOTHY FLYNN HAVE NOT ENGAGED IN ABANDONMENT OF JEWELL ANDERSON:

Neither David Anderson, Martha Anderson, nor Timothy Flynn have abandoned Jewell Anderson at any point in time.  Diane Anderson abandoned both her parents for a twenty-five plus (25+) year period while she was living a hedonistic lifestyle in Australia.  For Diane Anderson to suggest now that she is somehow more concerned about her parents than David Anderson and Martha Anderson, the individuals who have devoted their entire adult lives to protecting and taking care of both Kenneth and Jewell Anderson, is disingenuous in the extreme.

David Anderson and Martha Anderson visit Jewell Anderson on a regular basis.  When they visit Jewell Anderson, they provide her with companionship, any material items Jewell Anderson needs, ranging from an occasional hot fudge sundae to toiletries to clothing, and provide day outings for Jewell Anderson with both family members and non-family members.

David Anderson and Martha Anderson have constantly visited and taken care of Jewell Anderson during her periods of hospitalization and rehabilitation.  During the time in which Diane Anderson abandoned Jewell Anderson to live in Australia, David and Martha Anderson were the sole family members who took care of Jewell Anderson.  Martha Anderson went so far as to prepare special meals for Jewell Anderson during her periods of rehabilitation, and took her lunch periods while working at the Oakland County Friend of the Court to drive to the rehabilitation facilities to be with Jewell Anderson and provide her with the special meals Martha made, and which Jewell Anderson loved.

Diane Anderson’s behavior since returning from Australia has run the gamut from being obstreperous to simply weird.  As such, the guardian/conservator for Jewell Anderson thought it best to establish a specific visitation schedule so Diane Anderson would not make life miserable for all the Anderson family members who wanted to visit with Jewell Anderson.  Diane Anderson has repeatedly violated the Visitation Orders established by the Court, and has been chastised repeatedly by the Probate Court Judges for her inability to work with the family members regarding visitation with Jewell Anderson.  Diane Anderson pretends to know what the visitation arrangements have been between David Anderson, Martha Anderson, and Jewell Anderson.  Allegations by Diane Anderson of lack of visitation by David Anderson and Martha Anderson with Jewell Anderson are completely ridiculous and without foundation.  The staff at the American House facility laugh when they hear Diane Anderson’s allegation of lack of visitation by David Anderson and Martha Anderson with Jewell Anderson because they personally see David and Martha Anderson with Jewell Anderson on a regular basis.  Again, all of the allegations of abandonment raised by Diane Anderson against David Anderson and Martha Anderson are completely erroneous and not supported by the facts.
